English and Spanish
The assistant texts in English or Spanish. How it picks your language, how to switch, and the Spanish keywords.
Tack texts in English or Spanish. Each person on a team has their own language, so the owner can get English while a crew member gets Spanish.
How it picks your language
Section titled “How it picks your language”- You signed up from the Spanish site (pages starting with
/es/) by texting us: it starts in Spanish. - Your first texts are clearly in Spanish: it switches to Spanish on its own. It only looks at your first 3 texts, and only when the message is plainly Spanish. Short texts like “ok”, “sí” or “Henderson 2pm” don’t count either way.
- Otherwise it uses English.
Once you’ve picked a language, or the sign-up page set it, it never switches on its own again.
Switching
Section titled “Switching”Text the request by itself, as the whole message:
| To get | Text |
|---|---|
| English | “English please”, “háblame en inglés”, “en inglés” |
| Spanish | “Spanish please”, “en español”, “háblame en español” |
It confirms in the new language. A longer message that just mentions a language, like “put the note in Spanish” or “the Spanish crew starts at 8”, is treated as a normal request and doesn’t change anything.
What changes and what doesn’t
Section titled “What changes and what doesn’t”- Changes: the assistant’s replies, questions and previews.
- Doesn’t change: what goes into your tools. Notes, job titles and line items are saved the way you wrote them. If you text “el aire no enfría”, that’s what shows up in Jobber.
Keywords in Spanish
Section titled “Keywords in Spanish”Keywords only work when they’re the whole message. Capitals and accents don’t matter.
| What it does | English | Spanish |
|---|---|---|
| Stop all messages | STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT | ALTO, PARAR, DETENER, BAJA |
| Turn messages back on | START, UNSTOP | INICIAR, REANUDAR |
| Help | HELP, INFO | AYUDA, INFO |
| Undo the last thing | “undo”, “undo that” | “deshaz eso”, “deshacer” |
| Approve | “yes”, “ok”, “sure” | “sí”, “dale”, “claro” |
A bare CANCEL or CANCELAR gets a question back: do you mean the pending action, or all messages?
“Alto, ese no” or “parar el trabajo de Patel” are normal requests, not opt-outs.
The website
Section titled “The website”The website has Spanish pages under /es/, including sign-in and your account dashboard. Use the language switch on any page. Some help pages are still English only, and legal pages are in English.
