Jobber

Book jobs, add clients and notes, close out visits, draft quotes and invoices, and check your schedule in Jobber by text. Connects with one-tap sign-in.

PausedField service

Paused. New Jobber connections are paused for now. Ask in your thread and we'll text you when Jobber is back.

You text What happens in Jobber
“Book Henderson Tues 2pm, AC not cooling, give it to Mike” Creates the job for that client, schedules the visit and assigns it to Mike
“New client Sara Kim, 512-555-0188, 14 Elm St” Adds the client with their phone and address
“Finished the Henderson job” Marks today’s visit complete, or closes the job when no visits are left
“What’s on today?” Lists today’s visits with addresses and assignees
“Add a note to the Patel job: gate code 4410” Adds a note to the job (or to the client)
“Quote Henderson $1,450 for a 50 gal water heater” Creates a draft quote
“Invoice the Henderson job” Creates a draft invoice from the job’s line items

Creating clients, jobs, notes, quotes and invoices happens right away, and you can text “undo” within 10 minutes.

Jobber doesn’t let connected apps email quotes or invoices to your customers. When you text “send the Henderson quote,” the assistant finds it and replies with a link to it in Jobber. Open the link and tap Send there. The assistant never marks a quote or invoice as sent.

See the full list of what the assistant can do in Jobber, with example texts, the API call behind each action, and which ones ask first or can be undone.

  • A Jobber account on a paid plan.
  • To connect, you need to be an admin user in Jobber. Only admins can approve app access.
  1. Text “connect Jobber,” or tap Connect next to Jobber on the website.
  2. Sign in to Jobber on the page that opens.
  3. Review the permissions and tap Allow Access.
  4. You’re returned to Tack, and the assistant confirms in your thread.
Permission Why
Read and write clients Find the right customer, add new ones, and add client notes
Read and write jobs Book jobs, add job notes and close jobs
Read and write scheduled items Schedule, assign and complete visits, and list your day
Read and write quotes Find quotes and create draft quotes
Read and write invoices Find invoices and create draft invoices from jobs
Read users Assign visits to the right team member

Jobber shows these permissions on the Allow Access screen. We don’t request access to Jobber settings or billing.

If you’re not a Jobber admin, or the connection keeps failing, book a 15-minute setup call.

  • By text: text “disconnect Jobber” and say yes. See Connecting your tools.
  • On the Tack website: go to Connections and tap Disconnect next to Jobber.

Either way, we tell Jobber to disconnect the app, so it no longer shows as connected in your Jobber account, and we delete our stored access and our copy of your client list right away. If Jobber doesn’t confirm, the assistant tells you; then also disconnect it in Jobber as below.

  • From Jobber: click Apps in the side menu to open the App Marketplace, open Tack, and click Disconnect. Only admins can do this. Jobber notifies us, and we delete our stored access.

Jobs, clients, quotes and invoices the assistant created stay in Jobber.

  • Jobber is paused for new connections while our pilot leads with QuickBooks Online.
  • Sending quotes and invoices to customers happens in Jobber, not by text (see above).
  • Undo for a job closes it and removes its unfinished visits. Jobber has no way for apps to delete a job.
  • Undo for a quote archives it, and undo for an invoice voids it. Both stay in Jobber.
  • Recurring jobs: setting up a new recurring schedule is best done in Jobber.
  • Two clients with the same name: the assistant asks which one you mean.
  • Visit times use your Jobber account’s time zone.
