# Get a setup call

> A short (about 15-minute) screen-share to connect a tool that needs an admin, a specific plan or an API key that's hard to find.

Some tools are hard to connect alone. Creating an API key can mean digging through admin settings, and some vendors need their account admin to approve access. For those, we'll set up a short call and connect it with you.

To ask for one, email support@asktack.com with the tool you're connecting, and we'll reply with a few times that work.

## When a call helps

- The tool connects with an **API key** and you're not sure where to create it or which permissions to pick.
- Only your company's **admin** can approve the connection, and you want them on the call.
- The tool needs **vendor approval** or a specific plan (as some field service, maintenance and ERP tools do).
- A connection keeps failing and you'd rather we look at it together.

## What to have ready

- An **admin login** for the tool you're connecting, or the person who has one.
- Your **plan or tier** in that tool (it's usually on its billing page).
- Who in your company can **approve access**, if that isn't you.
- A computer with a browser. A phone works for most tools, but admin pages are easier on a bigger screen.

## What happens on the call

1. You share your screen, and we walk you to the right settings page.
2. You create the key or approve the connection with the permissions listed on that tool's page, and nothing more.
3. If it's a key, you paste it into the **secure link** the assistant texted you. Keys are never read aloud, typed into a chat or sent by text.
4. We test it together with a real request, such as "what's on today's schedule?"

Afterward, the assistant confirms the connection in your thread.

## What we'll never ask for

- **Your password** for any tool.
- **Payment details** of any kind.

If anyone claiming to be from Tack asks for either, don't share them, and tell us at support@asktack.com.

## Cost

Setup calls are free during the pilot. Pricing after the pilot isn't final; the current plan, subject to change, is to include the call on Pro and annual plans and charge a one-time fee on monthly Solo and Crew plans.
